Your Ceremony
I will work with you to design a ceremony which
suits your individual needs. A small part of the content of any civil marriage
ceremony is prescribed by law, but you are entirely free to choose the remaining
content of your ceremony. You may already have ideas on the kind of vows,
readings or music you would like to include, in which case I can assist you to
incorporate these in your ceremony format. Alternatively, I can supply you with
a range of options to choose from to create a ceremony with a style to suit you.
I will provide you with a wedding template, in hard copy and/or electronic, to
use as the basis for designing the ceremony you want.
You may want to involve family members and/or friends in the ceremony and there
are many ways in which this can be done. For example, the bride’s father might
give the bride away, brothers or sisters or close friends might deliver readings
of your choice, and children/stepchildren (of a suitable age) might take charge
of the rings. There are some elements of the ceremony which must be conducted by
the celebrant, but there is still ample scope for the involvement of others.
As a civil celebrant I am able to conduct your ceremony at a time and venue of
your choice. There are many lovely locations to choose from locally, whether you
want an outdoor wedding or a ceremony at an indoor venue. If you choose an
outdoor location, you should also ensure that you have a back up in case of bad
weather.
I have a Mipro Wireless PA system which is sufficiently powerful to ensure that
a ceremony can be heard clearly by up to 200 guests.
